Multi-factor Authentication Setup🔒

Follow these steps to secure your Microsoft account.

Firstly, please use the Google Play Store or App Store on your device to download Microsoft Authenticator.

Be cautious of ads! The app should be published by Microsoft Corporation and have the logo you see below.

Next, go to Office.com and sign in with your email address. You will reach this page:

Click ‘Next’.

This page asks you to download the app which you have already done, click ‘Next’. You will reach this page:

Back on your phone, open the Microsoft Authenticator app.

Turn on push notifications when asked.

Accept the terms and conditions.

Don’t sign in with your Microsoft account, just select ‘Scan a QR code‘.

Allow the app to use your camera if permission is requested.

Scan the QR code on the page with your camera, then click ‘Next‘.

A number with display on your computer, type that number into box that has popped up on your phone.

Once you see ‘Notification approved‘, click ‘Next‘.

You will be asked to set up an app password, it is required but not needed. Give it any name and select ‘Next‘.

Finally, click ‘Done‘ twice and you have completed setup.
